Toilet Installation in Vaughan, Thornhill & the GTA

McPipe Plumbing provides toilet installation and replacement for homeowners in Vaughan, Thornhill, Richmond Hill, North York, and nearby GTA communities.

Whether you are replacing an old toilet, finishing a bathroom renovation, or dealing with a cracked or loose fixture, we make sure the toilet is installed properly from the start. That includes checking the flange, wax seal, water supply, shutoff valve, and drainage connection before the job is complete.

Toilet Repair Problems We Fix

Not every toilet problem means you need a replacement. Many issues can be repaired if the toilet, drain connection, and internal parts are still in good condition.

Common toilet repairs include:

  • Running toilets

  • Weak or incomplete flushing

  • Leaks around the base

  • Loose or rocking toilets

  • Clogs that keep coming back

  • Broken handles, fill valves, or flappers

  • Water supply or shutoff valve issues

McPipe Plumbing checks the cause first, then explains whether repair or replacement makes more sense.

When Toilet Replacement Makes More Sense

Sometimes replacing the toilet is the better call. If the bowl or tank is cracked, the toilet rocks even after repair, or the fixture keeps clogging after repeated service, a new toilet may save time and frustration.

Replacement may also make sense during a bathroom renovation or when an older toilet uses more water than needed. We can remove the old toilet, inspect the connection, install the new fixture, and make sure everything is sealed and working before we leave.

What Affects Toilet Repair Cost?

Toilet repair cost depends on the problem, the parts needed, and whether the toilet can be fixed without replacing the fixture. A simple internal part repair is usually different from a leak at the base, a damaged flange, or a toilet that needs to be removed and reset.

McPipe Plumbing gives clear advice before the work begins. If repair is the right choice, we repair it. If replacement is the smarter option, we explain why before moving ahead.

Emergency Toilet Repairs

A leaking, overflowing, or blocked toilet can quickly become a bigger problem, especially if water reaches the floor or nearby walls. If the toilet is actively leaking, shut off the water valve near the base and call for service.

McPipe Plumbing handles urgent toilet repair calls across Vaughan, Thornhill, and nearby GTA areas. We help with leaks, clogs, loose toilets, and toilets that cannot be used safely.

Professional Toilet Installation & Replacement

A toilet installation is not just a matter of setting the fixture in place. The flange, seal, bolts, supply line, shutoff valve, and floor contact all need to be checked.

Poor installation can lead to leaks, sewer smells, rocking, water damage, and repeat repairs. McPipe Plumbing installs toilets properly, tests the flush, checks for leaks, and makes sure the toilet is stable before the job is finished.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it better to fix a toilet or buy a new one?
In many cases, a toilet can be repaired. Issues like running water, weak flushing, or small leaks are often caused by worn internal parts that are inexpensive to replace. However, if the toilet is cracked, frequently clogging, or over 15–20 years old, replacement may be the better option. Newer models are more efficient and can help reduce water use over time.

What are the signs of a toilet going bad?
Common signs include frequent clogging, weak or incomplete flushing, constant running water, and leaks around the base. You might also notice cracks in the bowl or tank, or the toilet starting to wobble when you sit on it. If you’re dealing with repeated repairs or ongoing issues, it’s often a sign the toilet is reaching the end of its lifespan.

How do you know if your toilet needs to be resealed?
Signs of a failed seal usually show up around the base of the toilet. You might notice water pooling on the floor, a persistent sewer smell, or the toilet feeling slightly loose or shifting when you sit on it. In some cases, the leak isn’t obvious right away but can cause damage to the flooring underneath. If any of these are happening, the seal likely needs to be replaced.

Can you fix my toilet the same day?
Yes. We provide same-day service for most toilet repairs, including evenings and weekends when urgent.

Do I need to supply the parts?
No. We carry quality parts and replacements on hand, but if you already have a specific toilet or part you want installed, we can work with that too.

How long does a repair take?
Most common repairs are completed within an hour. For new installations, we typically require 2 to 3 hours to ensure a perfect seal and proper calibration. Complex repairs may vary.

Shower Faucet and water pressure required repair

"I would definitely recommend McPipe Plumbing. We have been having problems with a shower faucet for sometime. The temperature control and water pressure required repair. I sent in a request through Homestars and within an hour I received a call from Mcpipe Plumbing and was able to explain the issues. Ethan was very helpful. I thought we may need to replace the entire faucet, piping etc. Ethan thought that perhaps it was just a few parts that needed to be replaced. He recommended that I contact the manufacturer to see if I could source the parts under warranty, which I did and in fact received the parts for free that same day. We scheduled a time for Ethan to come and do the repair. He called shortly before arrival, was extremely professional and knowledgeable, explaining the work he was doing. The job was completed quickly and efficiently. We are very happy with the work done and the results."
